Warranty Policy

At Aussie Battery, we stand behind the quality of our products. This Warranty Policy explains the coverage, limitations, and claim process for our Limited 1-Year Warranty, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


1. Warranty Coverage

Aussie Battery provides a Limited 1-Year Warranty from the date of delivery for products that:

  • Are faulty due to a manufacturing defect, or
  • Fail under normal, intended use when correctly selected and installed

During the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace the product with the same or equivalent item, or
  • Pro-rated refund based on the remaining warranty period

2. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect model selection or incompatibility
  • Products ordered based on assumption rather than confirmed compatibility
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Reduced battery capacity over time due to normal usage
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, modification, or improper installation
  • Damage caused by overcharging, incorrect chargers, or third-party accessories
  • Water damage, impact damage, or physical tampering
  • Products used in commercial, rental, or industrial applications unless explicitly stated
  • Issues caused by incorrect storage or environmental exposure

Compatibility errors are not defects and are not covered under warranty.


3. Relationship to Returns & Refunds Policy

This Warranty Policy operates separately from our Returns & Refund Policy.

  • Warranty claims cannot be used to bypass return exclusions for customer error
  • Products ordered incorrectly or incompatibly are not eligible for warranty remedies
  • Change-of-mind or incorrect orders are not warranty claims

4. First 90 Days

For warranty claims made within the first 90 days of purchase, AussieBattery will review the issue and provide instructions for returning the battery if required. If a defect is confirmed, a repair or replacement will be arranged.

Warranty Claims After 90 Days

For warranty claims made after 90 days and within the 12-month warranty period, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Once received and inspected, one of the following options may be offered:

Repair of the battery
Replacement battery
Pro-rated refund based on the remaining warranty period

If repair or replacement is chosen, the battery must be sent to us at the customer’s expense.


5. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim, you must contact us before returning any item.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos or videos showing the fault
  • Photos of the original battery label and connector (where applicable)

In some cases, photo or video evidence may be sufficient and a physical return may not be required.


6. Return Shipping for Warranty Claims

Where a warranty claim is valid under Australian Consumer Law:

  • We will cover reasonable return shipping costs where required
  • We may provide a prepaid return label

If the product is assessed and found not to be faulty or outside warranty coverage:

  • Return shipping costs may be charged to the customer
  • The item may be returned at the customer’s expense

7. Replacement Products

Replacement products supplied under warranty:

  • Do not extend the original warranty period
  • Are covered for the remainder of the original warranty term

8. Expired Warranty & Goodwill Options

If a product is outside the warranty period, we may, at our discretion:

  • Offer troubleshooting assistance
  • Provide a discount code or goodwill credit toward a future purchase

These options do not constitute a warranty remedy or refund.


9. Proof of Purchase

Warranty claims must be accompanied by valid proof of purchase from aussiebattery.com.

Products purchased through third-party marketplaces or resellers are subject to their respective warranty terms.
